|Mission||Threshold Community Program's mission is to support the education, growth, and independence of adolescents and young adults who are on the autism spectrum and who face related challenges, in programs that emphasize relationships and social-emotional development. We serve families from all over the metro Atlanta area. Our staff works with our student and young adult participants so they can reach individual goals, including finishing high school; attending college; building and maintaining meaningful relationships; developing independence, job, communication and problem-solving skills; finding personal interests; and becoming part of the community. Our overall goal is to help participants increase their independence and develop the skills to lead happy, successful, and productive lives.|
|About||THE SCHOOL PROGRAM IS DESIGNED FOR STUDENTS IN MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL, WHO HAVE HAD DIFFICULTY IN TRADITIONAL ACADEMIC SETTINGS. THIS PROGRAM IS ACCREDITED BY THE GEORGIA ACCCREDITING COMMISSION AND EMPHASIZES COMMUNICATION AND RELATIONSHIP SKILLS AND CONTEXTUAL EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING.|
