Domestic Violence Solutions is the only agency in Santa Barbara County, CA that provides emergency shelter and supportive services to all survivors of domestic abuse and their children including women, men and LGBT populations. Three shelters are operated in the cities of Santa Barbara, Santa Maria and Lompoc. During FY 18-19, our three shelters provided 427 individuals (229 adults and 198 children) with 45 day emergency shelter. Our shelters also operate four crisis and information lines which answered 5,091 calls. Of those calls, 435 were emergency calls from police, emergency rooms and medical offices. During this period DVS provided a total of 7,908 critically needed 'safety bed nights' to those individuals and their children at severe risk and fleeing their homes due to domestic violence.
