Developing character strengths helps kids thrive socially, emotionally, academically, and physically. Even though we know that character is important and malleable, scientific insights that tell us how to develop character in kids are scarce. Character Lab makes school-based research fast, frictionless, and fruitful. More than 50 researchers and schools representing more than 100,000 students work with Character Lab to generate scientific insights about the success and well-being of kids. Character Lab aims to have a representative sample of students in the country, with an emphasis on promoting the voice of underrepresented students. Finally, Character Lab makes scientific insights accessible to those who are interested in developing character in young people.
