About the Role

We're looking for an Operations Manager to support donor-advised fund operations and deliver excellent member service. This is a hands-on, hybrid role at the heart of our donor-advised fund operations that offers meaningful variety for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. You'll keep things running smoothly behind the scenes and be a warm, knowledgeable presence for our members.
The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about social impact and has a strong background in brokerage operations, investment management, and/or grant-making. This individual will report to the VP of Philanthropic Services & Operations and be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our DAF while providing exceptional support to our members and partners.
What You'll Do
Donation Management and Member Experience
- Conduct due diligence and process donation recommendations — including electronically paid and printed checks
- Manage returned and undeposited donations, maintaining accurate records
- Triage member inquiries and support messages, owning donation-related member inquiries from first hello to happy resolution
- Review and conduct due diligence on member-submitted charity suggestions, communicating status to members and charities
- Keep charity records up-to-date, responding to charity and member requests
- Deliver genuinely delightful support via email, chat, and other channels
- Troubleshoot account issues, complete service requests, and guide members on product functionality, escalating complex cases cross-functionally as needed
- Contribute to internal projects that make operations smoother and the member experience even better — including our ongoing transition from paper checks to electronic donation payments
Office and General Operations
- On-site at Los Altos HQ 3+ days per week to keep DAF operations running
- Contribution processing, tracking and depositing incoming checks
- Build and maintain internal documentation and customer-facing resources to improve team efficiency and communication quality
- Serve as a reliable backup across key operations streams, from contributions processing to member support
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years in operations, finance or investments, tech, philanthropy or a related field
- Strong data management skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy — you catch the thing others miss
- Excellent written communication skills and a warm, professional tone
- Problem-solving mindset, with a member-focused approach
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities across operational and member-facing work
- Experience with CRM or support platforms a plus
- Bonus points if you've used AI tools like Claude Cowork to automate or streamline your work

Compensation & Role Structure
We offer salary bands to ensure fairness and transparency. The position is a hybrid role (3 days/week in office). $100,000-$130,000/year.
